JBL PartyBox On-the-Go: Take the party with you

A year after JBL first introduced the JBL PartyBox 1000, a powerful, bass-heavy party speaker with easy plug-and-play guitar input plus an illuminated DJ launchpad with built-in sound effects comes the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go, a portable version with improved audio features.

The JBL PartyBox On-the-Go appeals to the karaoke-loving Filipinos as this portable party speaker comes with two JBL wireless microphones with a 10-meter range good for sing-along sessions with family and friends. Similar to its siblings in the JBL PartyBox line, it delivers music with a powerful bass courtesy of JBL’s 100W Pro Signature Sound that’s complemented with a synchronized light show and carries the same plug-n-play mic and guitar inputs.

JBL PartyBox On-the-Go

Since it’s designed for users to take the party anywhere they go, the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go has IPX4 splash proof protection making it the ideal audio buddy for beach and poolside parties. What makes the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go even more interesting as a party speaker is its shoulder strap which has a bottle opener attached to it.

The JBL PartyBox On-the-Go also offers continuous and convenient music playback with its 6-hour battery life and Bluetooth and USB port music sources.

The JBL PartyBox On-the-Go retails for P20,999 and will be available by the end of 2020.

JBL PartyBox 310: Portable party machine

Another addition under JBL’s PartyBox line is the JBL PartyBox 310, a bigger variant of the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go. While the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go has a strap for easy portability, the JBL PartyBox 310 has wheels and a handle for smooth transport.

Leave it to the JBL PartyBox 310 to spice up any party with its 240 watts of JBL Pro Sound delivered through its two 2.5-inch tweeters and two 6.5-inch of woofers. Its synchronized party lights have five modes that can be customized through the JBL Connect app, and its buttons are backlit to allow easy DJ control even in the dark.

JBL PartyBox 310

The JBL PartyBox 310 also comes with dual-mic and guitar inputs, in addition to its Bluetooth and USB inputs. Users can also wirelessly connect two JBL PartyBox 310 for a combined sound through its True Wireless Stereo feature. For durability, JBL has equipped the PartyBox 310 with IPX4 splashproof protection.

The JBL PartyBox 310 is now available in the market at P28,999.

JBL Xtreme 3: Never run out of music

JBL has likewise launched in the Philippines the upgraded JBL Xtreme 3 which now has four improved drivers plus two JBL Bass Radiators, providing a powerful sound in a sleek form factor.

This speaker has a 15-hour battery life and comes with a built-in power bank which can simultaneously charge devices through its USB-C power input. Its Bluetooth v5.1 feature allows up to two devices to be connected to the JBL Xtreme 3 to take turns in playing their favorite tunes delivered with JBL Pro Sound.

JBL Xtreme 3

JBL 115TWS, JBL Tune 125TWS, and JBL Tune 225TWS: Hassle-free listening experience

When true wireless earphones gained traction among audiophiles, one of the brands to embrace the demand for new products is JBL. The firm has come a long way to meet the preferences of TWS users and this is evident in their latest line of TWS devices which carry functions not just for a hassle-free listening experience but also with the signature JBL sound.

First on the list of the new true wireless earphones to be available in the local market is the JBL 115TWS. Carrying the JBL Pure Bass Sound, this pair of comfort-fit cable-free earphones boast a combined battery life of 21 hours -- 6 hours from the earbuds and 15 hours from the charging case. This also has the Dual Connect feature which allows users to utilize either earbud in stereo or mono mode. For ease of use, the JBL Tune 115TWS promotes hand-free calls and quick access to Voice Assistant.

The JBL Tune 115TWS will be available in PH by the end of 2020 for P4,699.

JBL Tune 115TWS

The JBL Tune 125TWS, on the other hand, is among JBL's first products to have the Fast Pair feature, which allows the earbuds to instantly connect to a music source right after they're taken out of the case. This pair also has the Dual Connect feature which gives users the freedom to listen with either of the earbuds. With this, users can save the battery life of the JBL Tune 125TWS to further prolong its 8-hour music playback capability. This is on top of the 24-hour battery life this device has stored in its charging case.

JBL Tune 125TWS

Apart from the signature JBL Pure Bass Sound, the JBL Tune 125TWS has a range of features for ease of use including hands-free calls, a built-in microphone, and accessible controls on both earbuds.

The JBL Tune 125TWS retails for P5,999 and will be available by the end of 2020.

JBL Tune 225TWS

The JBL Tune 225TWS, on the other hand, carries the same features as the JBL 125TWS. While the JBL tune 125TWS is designed in a small circular physique, the JBL tune 225TWS comes with a stem wherein users can access audio controls like switching to the next or previous tracks, or increasing and decreasing volume. The JBL Tune 225TWS offers a combined battery life of 25 hours from the pair of earphones itself and its pocketable charging case.

The JBL Tune 225TWS retails for P7,199 and will be available by the end of 2020.

JBL Go 3: Small package, big sound

The well-loved JBL Go speaker also has a new version in the form of the JBL Go 3, a pocket-sized portable speaker that doesn’t compromise in audio performance. Veering away from the previous straightforward cube design of the JBL Go and the JBL Go 2 variants, the JBL Go 3 now has a rectangular form factor with rounded edges dressed in a mesh outer cover for added aesthetics and protection, on top of its IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating.

JBL Go 3

This petite yet powerful speaker can deliver non-stop music with punchy bass, clear mids, and outstanding highs for five hours straight through its Bluetooth v5.1 connection. Also an upgrade from the previous JBL Go speakers is the inclusion of a USB-C connection for faster and steadier charging.

The JBL Go 3 retails for P2,399 and will be available by mid-November.

Motorola razr 5G and moto g 5G plus launched in PH

With global tech and innovation leader Lenovo at the helm, the beloved motorola brand is returning to the mobile phone market in the Philippines with two new smartphone offerings — the motorola razr 5G and moto g 5G plus. Both devices come with many firsts as well as classic features that long-time motorola fans know and love, including the iconic clamshell design of the early 2000s, now powered by the blazing-fast connection of 5G.

“Lenovo and motorola both recognize the need to constantly innovate in this industry. The iconic clamshell design of the original razr was way ahead of its time and made motorola not only one of the biggest tech brands globally but also a pop culture icon,” said Michael Ngan, Lenovo Philippines President and General Manager. “With our vision, Smarter Technology for All, we aim at delivering smarter devices through innovative designs that perfectly meet consumer needs. Combining motorola’s rich history with Lenovo’s innovation, we can create a unique smartphone experience that features only the latest technology that matters the most to our customers.”

A comeback for the ages – motorola razr 5G
A look that’s sure to get everyone’s attention, the historic “flip” design of the razr is back and better than ever in the motorola razr 5G. The new hinge leaves no space in between when folded closed, making the phone as slim and compact as possible and more protected against dust and debris. In addition, the hinge is designed again to flip open with just one hand and has enough sturdiness to stay firm while open. The hinge is also built to last. If the user flips the phone 100 times a day every day, it will take more than five years to reach 200,000 flips which is just the baseline of the phone’s rigorous non-stop flip test[i].

While folded, users can utilize the razr 5G’s external 2.7-inch Quick View display that can now do more than just tell time and notify of incoming calls or messages. With the phone’s Android 10 OS, users can swipe up to access the home screen, right to use the camera, or left to call contacts and run apps. Off the bat, users can utilize eight apps pre-selected within the Quick View display, but Lenovo and motorola are also giving the freedom to customize and choose which app to quickly access without opening the phone. These new interactions help users make decisions more efficiently and respond faster, as they’ll spend less time scrolling and more time getting stuff done.

When it’s unfolded, users can enjoy the razr 5G’s 6.2-inch Flex View display. It’s composed of five layers designed to fold in concert with the new hinge system and includes a custom protective hard coat with a material that creates a barrier to protect against spills, splashes, rain, and more[ii]. The new display has a tapered chin, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and is made up of polished 3D glass with a 7000 series aluminum frame that gives a distinguished, eye-catching look in Polished Graphite.

While holding the razr 5G horizontally, films and videos come to life through the display’s CinemaVision technology which brings in 21:9 resolution quality, the same ultra-wide dimensions used in the film industry. Speaking of visuals, users can enjoy crystal-clear photos with the razr 5G’s 48MP camera[iii] with Quad Pixel technology that captures sharp, vibrant photos, even in low-light conditions. Flipping the razr 5G closed also leads to new photo opportunities through its many camera modes.

To cap it off, the razr 5G comes with four antennas that allow a 5G connection that can download content in just a few seconds[iv]. Combined with Qualcomm®’s brand-new Snapdragon™ 765 processor, the razr 5G provides powerful performance and incredible efficiency when it comes to browsing, streaming, or shopping online.

Reinventing the mid-tier phone – moto g 5G plus
With the moto g 5G plus, motorola and Lenovo are breaking boundaries once again, changing what a mid-tier smartphone should be by allowing it to provide 5G for everyone. At only PHP 16,990, the device is the most affordable 5G-enabled smartphone in the Philippines, in line with Lenovo’s mission of providing smarter technology for all and delivering devices that provide access to better opportunities, greater connectivity, and the ability to overcome limitations.

Coming in a 6.7-inch display, the moto g 5G plus also has CinemaVision which allows the phone to show movies in their full 21:9 cinematic beauty. The display has a 90Hz screen refresh rate and an HDR10 feature that reduces screen tearing and displays motion smoother than ever while also delivering sharp contrast and vibrant colors. Furthermore, the phone has the Snapdragon™ 765 processor, making it one of the few mid-tier phones to possess one.

What sets apart the moto g 5G plus is its innovative six-camera setup which content creators are sure to enjoy. At the front, there’s an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 16MP Quad Pixel camera that’s perfect for selfies taken during the day or night. Its sensor captures the smallest details and can even deliver four times better light sensitivity than other cameras. Meanwhile, the back features four cameras led by the 48MP Quad Pixel camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP camera with a macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor camera. Users can snap to their hearts’ content on any occasion, thanks to the many shooting modes presented, such as Long Exposure, Spot Color, Auto Smile Capture, and AI Shot Optimization that uses Artificial Intelligence to automatically select the right settings to help capture the perfect memory.

Both the motorola razr 5G and moto g 5G plus will be available in the Philippines in December 2020 in all major electronics stores and authorized Lenovo resellers. The motorola razr 5G can be availed for PHP 72,990, while the 8GB RAM variant of the moto g 5G plus will retail at PHP 16,990.

More information about Lenovo’s newest motorola phones can be obtained at Lenovo’s official website Regular updates are also posted at the official Lenovo Philippines Facebook page and the official motorola Philippines Facebook page.

Samsung launches Odyssey G9 and G7 monitors gaming monitors in PH

Samsung Electronics, the world’s number one maker of gaming monitors , is set to make the next-generation Odyssey line-up available in the Philippines starting October 26, 2020. Filipino gamers can now get their hands on the Samsung Odyssey G9 and G7 monitors and avail of the early bird promo in the Samsung Online Store and select retail stores nationwide.

“This year’s Samsung Odyssey line-up brings together the key elements of next-level game play: comfortable curvature, immersive interaction and perfect picture quality. This is the gaming monitor that every gamer deserves, set to surely reinvent the total gaming experience,” said James Jung, president of Samsung Philippines.

Both the Samsung Odyssey G9 and G7 offer deep and immersive 1000R curvature. The G9 is the world’s first Dual Quad High-Definition (QHD) gaming monitor that features an ultra-wide 49-inch display that curves around the player and fills the entire field of view for a fully immersive gaming environment.

For instance, games that feature a map or item inventory—conventional monitors might require users to scroll to take in all its content—with the Odyssey G9, all it takes is a single glance.

Today’s games offer players immersivity and longevity making a long gaming session an enjoyable one. But spending a long time in front of a screen can result in discomfort and visual fatigue. This is the reason why the Odyssey G7 has been specifically designed to minimize visual fatigue by offering consistent brightness, contrast range, and color coordination from the center to each edge of the monitor.

With the Odyssey’s 240Hz refresh rate, gamers can now bid lag goodbye. Coupled with 1ms response time, precise mouse movement and blur-free frames are now possible, enabling smooth gameplay without motion blur.

Gamers also have the competitive edge with the Samsung Odyssey monitor’s G-Sync compatibility and FreeSync Premium Pro support. This will get rid of those unsightly image tears, screen-lag, and choppiness to make fast-action and complex game scenes stable and stutter-free.

Serious gamers and gaming enthusiasts alike can now play their best game yet! The Odyssey monitor line-up is now available on Samsung.com and in PC Express, PCWorx, and Complink retail and online stores. The new gaming monitors are also available via Machine and Computer and DTYH (Oriontech) on Lazada and Smart Asia (I Love PC) on Shopee. The gaming monitors are priced at:
